Local women support epilepsy charity

Epilepsy charity supporters Debbie Simonton and Tami Hay of Foothill Ranch Califoirnia have been selected by the National Society for Epilepsy (NSE) to run in the 2011 London Marathon on their behalf to help raise funds for epilepsy. The marathon will take place in London England on April 17th 2011.

“It means a lot to me to complete my first London Marathon, especially in aid of a cause so close to my heart. Debbie says: “Epilepsy is still so misunderstood. Many people with the condition face prejudice on a daily basis, even though one in 20 of us will experience a seizure at some point in our lives. Through our running the London Marathon for the NSE I’m hoping to raise awareness of epilepsy as well as raising vital funds.”

Tami will be running in her first marathon and her training partner Debbie will be running in her thrid marathon after previously running in the LA marathon in 2008 and 2010.
